Actually, I don't mind that it's been raining since yesterday afternoon. April showers bring May flowers, right? Right.Anyway, I heard it's supposed to snow this weekend so I'd much prefer the rain over that right now anyway.
My front lawn is a yucky brown/green/yellow colour, and I can't wait for everything to come back to life. I'm thinking this year that I might plant some flowers outside out big livingroom window, but the people in the building that smoke always flick their butts outside and they end up there. Ooooh, perhaps I could get a trough that can attach to my window sill and then nothing can hurt them. OMG, I'm so smart, I think I might pick one up this weekend.
I have so much cleaning to do before Elena comes tomorrow.
- livingroom
- kitchen (more of organization, than cleaning)
- our bedroom
- bathroom linen closet needs to be organized
I also need to do some more laundry. I just can't ever keep up with it. Speaking of laundry, I switched from Tide's Simple Pleasures "Water Lily & Jasmine" to the "Vanilla & Lavender" scent -- I like it much better. They both clean well, but I can still smell a bit of the vanilla after I wash our clothes, whereas the other stuff just smelled like detergent afterwards.

Does it take you back to being a carefree kid? Having no responsibilities in the world and just enjoy the cold sweetness.
I was having a boring/crappy day today, then after dinner Ross suggested buying some chocolate ice cream. I immediately got into a good mood, how weird is that?
Anyone else like that?

In more positive news: my best friend from PA is coming up to visit on Thursday morning. We're picking her up from the airport around 8am and she's going to be in town the entire Easter weekend! I'm so excited, I haven't seen her since I was down at her house in September. Thankfully, she's moving back to Canada soon, hopefully at the end of the school year (she's a teacher) -- I miss her so much.
I'm obviously biased, but my daughter is SMART. The other day we were in the grocery store and this woman walked by us while having a conversation on her cellphone, she dropped the F Bomb and Jordan heard her immediately. Jordan said, "No say no bad word...". Now, the reason she says this is because we've caught her saying that word and we've told her that it's bad and that she can't say it. Our neighbours have trucker mouths, so I'm not surprised if she picked it up from them or my Dad (who also has a potty mouth) OR even the movies that Ross decides to watch while I'm at work (ie. action movies). Because we sure don't use that kind of language around her -- I may say it a lot online, but not infront or within ears shot of my kid. I'd be mortified if she went to the daycare at church and said a swear word.
I got another PPP payment today. So far I have been paid $111.26 and will be paid $374.77. Now that I've opened hermama.com up for PPP, I'll be bringing in a bit more money. I do notice that my visitors have decreased since I started to do PayPerPost, but it doesn't bother me. I still interact with most of you via message boards and your websites. This money really helps me out as I'm going to school, working and paying for daycare (no subsidy for this girl!). Yes, Ross works too, but it's nice to have such a thing as 'extra' money every now and then.

We made grilled cheese sandwiches and Kraft Dinner for lunch. Jordan was running around chasing the dog covered in ketchup and cheese, it was so funny. So, into the bathtub she went.
So my best friend is coming up on Thursday, she's going to be here until Monday. I'm so excited, I haven't seen her since September when I went to PA to visit her. The weather is supposed to be craptastic, so that'll suck. But we'll make do. We're going out for dinner on Thursday, then drinks w/friends afterwards. Then Saturday night we're hitting the town... maybe even the 'rippers, hahah.
